[Wonchop's b-day surprise]

cute.

i was expecting something a little cruder, but this was quite sweet. Nice fbf mouth animation.

I'm trying to figure out what the fuck a Natsu is now.

Twas alright.

Felt a bit disjointed in parts but overall a nice effort, for 5 months there's not THAT much from each author though. Much better than most 'music video collabs' where people either a) have their fancharacter miming along to the words, b) have a literal representation of the lyrics or c) having something completely random and disconnected going on.

Still, you're all pretty young and way better at flash than I was at that time lol. So stick at it

Heh, it was alright

Constantly moving around is always a plus, but to be honest the 'random component in a video game stops time' joke's been going since like forever. Still you executed it alright, could have done with more on-model characters (snake's a tough dude, he doesn't have massive eyes man : ) )

Yep, but for Metal Gear I have never seen a parody about it before, at least not in Flash form. And heh, I know Snake doesn't have that big eyes, it's just my style of drawing things as my style is little adapted with anime-ish parts.

[NSMB Episode 1]

I dunno man, this just seems a little pointless. Nearly everything is lifted from Mario Bros Z, the fighting style, the plot, the way everything moves, hell even the blur filters and the way you navigate through the movie via the spacebar. Hell, the only change seems to be that you replaced the robot sonic thing with the water monster from Sonic Adventure.

I just don't get the point of making something to similar that A) already exists and B) wasn't even that good anyways.

You're actually pretty good with Flash, it'd be really cool to see something a bit more original even if you were using sprites as a 'springboard'.

[Crows' Life Episode 3]

mixed bag, but mostly good

You guys can really animate. I mean, really, the quality on this is fucking great! Nice varied character designs and a pretty refreshing/clever premise (crows versus giant scarecrow). And the animation is smooth, detailed and never lets up.

But there's this feeling that you can't decide where to go with this series. It's like its stuck between wacky stupid hijicks with over-the-top characters and general action comedy spoofage, kinda like the Rebel series is stuck between parody and improvised comedy.

It just feels a bit unfocused if you get me. Also, the english voice actors (especially for Octavio) come off like they're trying a bit too hard, but they work and have good sound quality.

But still, its good to see something thats genuinely suitable for anyone but can still interest others, and the direction was ACE. You've put six months to good use guys!

thnx, yea, the plot in this episode is a bit lacking. I just couldn't animate the whole idea I had for the episode, it would've been too much for me to handle. Think of it like half an episode actually. So keep an eye...in 6 months or more XD

Enjoyed it, couldn't be more true. Could have done with a little more animation (your character dude didn't blink haha), and it did get a bit talky-talky when we could have seen more hilarious examples of NG flash, but overall a lot of people could do with seeing this.

The voice actors part was fucking great.

Thanks for the review man. I know what you mean about the blinking. I'm thinking about updating the .swf with blinking. It would take about 5 minutes to add a few different blink loops, and yes, there is a lot of dialogue.

So yeah after all the controversy I decided to give this a shot.

as an aping of the 'awesome' series, it was good. you nailed the visual style and the excessive swearing. And contrary to popular belief, egoraptor didn't invent 'summing up things up really fast' movies.

He did make them extremely popular however, so even if you used a different visual style you'd be criticized of ripping him off anyways. Funny world huh : /

Voice acting was good, Hans did a great job as per usual

The reason for your score? As a comedy i just didn't find it funny. Yeah i've played the shit out of GTA4, I got all the little references but all you were doing was pointing out the obvious. there was no wit or satire behind it man. Whilst ego's movies often sum up the events of games, you just looked at things that get on peoples' nerves and put them in movie form with funny voice acting.

I liked the style for this one more than the comix one, its more organic and fun whereas comix is somewhat stiff and boring (i'm talking visuals here, not writing)
