coffeedunk responds:

lmao that's pretty much down to laziness/rushing. I might make some edits to it at a later date, try to fix it.

Cheers for the crit!

Your art is awesome xD

musiccc

I've always loved this, the bright colours and energy really stand out alongside your darker works

the only complaint is about the hand closest to the front, but thats a minor one at best!

Comick responds:

Thanks man for the nice review! :) I agree on the hand, his fingers are a little off. Noodle fingers heh.

fucking cool

burnerman was always my fave robot master. nice job dude

Osuka responds:

Thanks :D
I love how Burnerman is so psychotic and phyromaniac. For me is the best design of the Megaman´s Bad Guys

its a cool design

Nice interpretation but theres a few things keeping it from being an awesome image. first is the shading - never use dodge/burn. it looks really tacky and is the easy way out. instead, pick a shade of grey, alter the transparency, and shade with that on a seperate layer over your 'base' colours but under your lineart.

Secondly is anatomy - his hand's facing the wrong way around lol. I love the suit design, but the way the suit actually falls on the body looks un-natural and really flat i guess. Best thing to due? Look at models posing in suits. See how they fall on the body and how they wrap around the frame.

His posture, as well, is really un-natural and looks awkward. Notice how his legs are just spread apart for no real reason, and his left shoulder is just...sort of...stuck up in midair. Keep modifying your original sketch to be as natural as possible.

the hair's another problem - its been coloured/drawn/shaded in a totally different way to the rest of the pic, making it look tacked on.

on to the good bits - the spiked, jester-like collar is a fucking awesome touch, the face is spot on, and the bauble-bomb things are pretty fucking cool too

hope this advice helps man, lookin forward to seeing some new stuff

redadder515 responds:

Actually, I appreciate the in-depth critique and thank you very much.
I like to get feedback like this.

lmao

i used to draw stuff like this all the time

great job man. could do with being a big bigger

ChuckDaKnife responds:

Thank you.
Many people tell me it should be bigger, but this is how I drew it, and I'm a bit reluctant to resize it.

P.S: I really like your art. And I think your own Joker is really nice-

brawny is gr8

nice ensemble pic, couple things i can't help notice though - the shading seems to be there for no reason, as you seem to be using it for purely detail and not to convey the idea that the characters are stood near a light source. for example the shading on some characters is mostly on the right, and the shading on others is mostly on the left, and on the kangaroo the shading's absolutely everywhere

the best thing to do is picture an imaginary 'sun' somewhere in your pic (bottom, top, right, left, centre, doesn't matter!) and then figure out where the characters' bodies would cast shadows from there. It helps them appear a lot more '3D' if you pull it off right. I used to have this problem with 'detail shading' for ages, but once you figure out the whole light source thing, shit gets awesome.

The bg, despite being gold and relating to the theme, is really murky and contrasts heavily against the liveliness of these characters - contrast can be good, but this is in a bad way unfortunately. Maybe a sort of 'Sunburst' of different gold-themed hues against a pure black background would work better

All that aside, these are some really nice characters and holy shit i just noticed the shark in the middle there lmao

Kirbopher responds:

THE SHARK IS VITAL.

This one's a little older compared to the others but felt like uploading it. Thanks for the comments though dawg :O
