it's weird how you kept everything in-character and then had mario pull out a realistic switchblade knife and slit his opponent's throat. nonetheless it made me laugh as did the edited voice clips.

the whole thing felt a bit messy though, i think the concept is supposed to be a generic action flick set in the mario games, but sometimes the style is too light-hearted whilst other times....you have mario slitting someone's throat. its hard to see what sort of movie this is.

if you were going for parody, it would have been way funnier to have the usual happy-go-lucky mario music in the background instead of the orchestral scores etc.

still the drawings and direction were really nice (although i can see where you traced) as well as some of the animation. shading was pretty damn good.

6 for effort i guess, mainly because i didn't really get what this movie was supposed to be.

PS: work on compressing, 13MB for 4 minutes? are you avin' a laff?

The opening theme made me cry tears of joy.

The first minute and a half were hilarious

The rest kinda dragged on.

The credits made me chuckle.

I wish you'd have gone a bit deeper than dialogue and plot mocking, like fight scenes and stuff, but every time there was an intentional animation goof i laughed hard. its too bad some kids cant get the point of this flash, lookin at the lower reviews

kick it up a notch! can we have some jokes that actually surprise us that we don't see coming a mile away?

i liked the visuals/animation in some bits, comick and whoever did the bit with knuckles punching sonic at the end of the act. wonchop's bit was pretty good too and i liked the idea of getting everyone to do a run cycle for the opening titles

but yeah there's nothing that sets this apart from the 645745769706765765885678 other video game parodies out there.

sorry man, you're pretty good with video editing but there's literally nothing that sets this apart from the 5.7 billion other 'My Newgrounds' flashes apart from your own personal tastes. It WAS pretty well made though, so points for that

Well i've only played on this game for like an hour at a friends', so I can't really get all the 'LOL SO TRUE' references or whatever. I'm guessing people don't actually piss on zombies in left4dead, so i have no idea where that joke came from.

There were some nicely made parts, but the graphics in general came together to look like something pretty sloppy, and the bright colours took away from the dark feel.

Character animation was pretty minimal, but clean as well. You did a good job 'directing' with lots o' different angles and clear title cards etc.

Trouble is, as a parody and a general comedy i just didn't find it that entertaining or funny. The writing was pretty sloppy and not what i'd really consider comedy. Take a look at all the reviews going 'so true' - all you're doing is pointing things out.

I loved your Halloween flash, and there was some nice fbf in there, so don't think i'm some sort o' dickhead reviewer with his head up his own ass. Keep at it yo!

i think your overall style needs a lot of work. it's simple but scruffy looking and comes off as kinda amateur, but there is a way to pull off this simple-but-effective vibe, so keep at it.

Other than that i liked the script, it was kinda hard to tell if this was going to be a serious thing or a comedy at first, but it's all pretty light hearted. Tomamoto sounded like someone from digimon or something lmao

Anyways nice job overall man, keep at it. you've got an interesting story here.

I knew exactly what was coming and I usually hate meme based comedy - it's the epitome of unoriginality, even moreso than parodies.

But that actually made me laugh. I dunno, robotnik knocking sonic through a mountain via his dick is just a hilarious concept. Fuck.
