i think the one problem i have with this flash is that the background is too saturated compared to the characters

that and theres buckets of detail in the vegas shot but we see it for literally five seconds!!!!

i think i like the concept of these a lot more than the execution - a collection of 3 2-minute horror stories that all tie into each other yet involve a different antagonist and one main connecting feature (the characters' phones).

However, the mystery and suspense is constantly shattered by the narration of the lead character and their 'stock' way of just submitting to their eventual killer. there's little struggle or conflict, they just sort of give up and die.

i just think its a little too blunt for a horror - we see everything that happens as it is, with little left to the imagination. there's no mystery apart from the questionable origins of the plant and the house.

i think the plant monster would have been much more terrifying if it was mostly covered in shadow - adding to the "oh my god what the fuck is this thing" factor.

graphics were decent and the sound was well done too

props for trying with the whole horror genre because its a really fucking hard thing to do right.

to say this is for an 'intro' to 2D its very well done. could have done with more animation and shading, but its fine for two weeks work. i love shit that syncs up well with the music being played

the music choices were fucking great and your direction in some scenes were superb.

sometimes the movements were kinda off-putting and illogical, they lacked a lot of bounce and weight in parts. Still its nice to see you've finished something so ambitious off. kiara's voice gets a 10 for being british

the main thing is i'm not sure if many people will be able to follow the plot too well. the blue haired elixir guy for example is never established to be some sort of psychic magic superbeing and then BAM as soon as we hit the fight scene he gets all telekinetic on our ass

what i loved most was probably the colour choices in all the scenes after evolve corps' intro, they were nicely picked and the characters never clashed or melted into the background (most of which were nicely done, others seemed rushed).

also the knife fight was fuckin sick B)

the sculpture was fucking badass, i loved the effect you got for its teeth

but like one of the VF bros. said, it just feels like a slideshow of pictures to me - and that's because its just a tweened series of photos lmao. maybe this would fare better in the art portal.

as a movie this just isnt doing it for me. loved the piranha plant itself though, good job
